Alexander Stetsurenko is one of the new wave of Russian fighters breaking out onto the world scene via the GLORY World Series. Hard-hitting, relentless and utterly fearless, he is one of the top talents at 85 kilograms and a threat to anybody he faces.

One of the main problems Stetsurenko gives his opponents is that they can never be sure what he is going to do. He has an unorthodox style and often throws unexpected shots or links together unusual strings of combinations.

Another thing opponents find demoralizing is that all their attacks seem to bounce off him. Stetsurenko’s face shows absolutely nothing when he gets hit; he walks forward through barrages of blows and hardly seems to notice that anything is being landed on him.

He has a professional rivalry with fellow Russian standout Artem Levin and they each hold wins over the other. Levin has described Stetsurenko as the hardest opponent he has ever had to face and says fighting him is “physically and mentally exhausting.”
