McDonald is fighting out of Eugene, Oregon but was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He has 12 years of kickboxing and MMA training and ten years of competition in those sports.
He is also a US Army veteran of 51/2 years and has a completed tour in Afghanistan under his belt. In MMA, he has competed for the 'King of the Cage' organization among others.
“I'm 6'7 265lbs southpaw with knockout power in both hands I have a ton of heart. I love to push the pace in a fight and I can counter-fight on a dime, it depends on how the fight goes,” says McDonald.
